This is a great approach... I'm a big fan or processes and systems and automation and this idea has aspects of each... layout cloths to remove a decision or set up the coffee maker to remove a task from groggy hands and eyes.. doing these activities also help to wind down today and align your visons towards tomorrow.

Great stuff... I'll have to add some of these to my own routine.

Thanks!
Dave

First thing I do in the a.m. is reach over and turn on the stereo (sometimes radio sometimes a cd)... If not for the music, I'd have a tough time getting started!

@ Christopher - That's great! I'm glad you found this helpful! :)

@ Laurie - I find setting the MIT the night before really helps with getting in the right frame of mind when I first wake up. I really like the blackboard idea.

@ Sagan - Great to hear! I love waking early as well and if I do sleep in I feel like I've behind somehow. Thanks for your comment!

@ Carla - You're welcome I hope this post helps you get to where you want to be in prepping the night before.

Getting my things reading the night before is something I really have to work at.

I have to have protein in the morning (and very little carbs in general) so salad and some leftover chicken, fish or nuts is usually what I eat.

Thanks for the tips!

Great advice! This is all stuff that I do. Mornings are waaaay easier to navigate when you follow these kind of "rules". I'm an early riser- the day is too good to waste with sleeping :)
