Top Three Friday Jams

I really enjoyed Leo’s post on Zen Habits about finding the natural rhythms of working earlier this week. Having done both the telecommuting thing and the 9-to-5, I find a lot of merit in the idea of a flexible, results-oriented environment. There is one thing I can say I honestly missed when I was telecommuting, though: the exhilaration of leaving the building on Friday afternoons.
You know the feeling: that you have the world at your feet, endless options, and a decent reason to indulge any whims you might have been holding in. It’s awesome.
So regardless of what your work environment is, I want to have a little fun today. If you’re game, I want to hear your favorite Friday afternoon jams—the songs that make you want to peel out of the parking lot, let your hair down, and live your life with abandon.
Here’s mine, in no particular order:
- Me, by Kina
- You Look Good in My Shirt, by Keith Urban
- More Bounce to the Ounce, by Zapp
And, by definition of being me, it goes without saying that any Def Leppard song gets a ridiculously enthusiastic response from me. Sigh. Maybe yours are less embarrassing…

Hi Sara
Well, I have a three day week, so, for me it’s “wednesdays” and not “fridays”. But, that doesn’t diminish the lightness of feeling!
You are so right about the “lack of fridays”. Perhaps it is an indication that one is not always taking a good break from things…
