Fall in Love with Life
All it takes is a second. A blink of an eye. You get distracted and let your heart go for just a second. And BAM! (Think Adam West-era Batman, not Emeril…) You’re in love with life. This is the beauty of time and change. No matter how your day started out, there’s always a chance that it will end with you laughing, deliriously happy.
It doesn’t have to take much. Maybe the sun burned through the fog, leaving you with gorgeous evening shade. Perhaps a stranger caught your eye and smiled at you with their entire being. Or, you might have discovered that your husband’s taste in music is just as bad as yours and you end up sipping a cocktail on the couch, singing Color Me Badd to each other in ridiculous voices. (Not like this has ever happened, I’m just saying…)
You don’t need to travel the world to find meaning. You don’t have to earn a Ph.D. to be wise enough to recognize true joy. And you don’t need a dime to enjoy fleeting moments of true bliss. All it takes is a second…

Beautiful, just beautiful. Simple and beautiful.

We can enjoy every moment, we can see something good in every event we pass through, just if we are really kind to ourselves and bringing it the best of the things around us, the key is there in our mind and attitude.
If we started being negative, our whole life will look like a mess to us or let’s say our brain will support us with what we think of.
I liked this article by Barbara talking about Law of attraction, very simple and helpful: http://bloggingwithoutablog.com/the-law-of-attraction-in-action/
Thanks Sara for the good point!

Well… I don’t think I have ever felt “deliriously happy”.
I 100% agree that meaning and happiness can be found in the simplest, most basic things. Nice post.

And those “blinks” are the moments that do the most to strengthen our relationships and define us. I love that because it means it’s available to anyone…we just have to look for, and recognize, them.
Great post.

Yes, the Adam West as batman TV program, where you had all those cartoon signs pop up when anyone was getting beat up. To me Adam West will always be batman (forget Clooney or all those other actors that have tried to portray him). How true, you should always be ready for joy, even during mundane moments or when everything seems to be going wrong. Great post Sara.

I have these moments all of the time - and as soon as I recognize them as such, they are gone (like trying to hold onto corn-starch goo).
I’ve been noting these moments in a jounal and trying to find patterns so that I can create more of them in my life. So far, it looks like I may need to find a career outdoors…

Who doesn’t love Color Me Badd?
“I Wanna Sex You Up”
“I Adore Mi Amor”
“All 4 Love”
That about does it.

Adam West? Now that’s a name from the past. Who was the actor that played Robin? I forget.
Living in the moment does that, where you suddenly find joy in the simplest of things. I love when that happens, and like you said, it’s free. It doesn’t get any better than that.

My son made a joke a few days ago, I couldn’t stop laughing. My 10 year old, making me laugh because he wants to see me smile. How awesome is that??! What a great guy he is now and will be..
Is it age that makes us slow down, or the wisdom of age that makes us slow down and appreciate these small things? I wonder, but also glad I noticed.

Your thoughts are mine. Karma is all I can say. I totally live by this. When I grow up I don’t want a huge house, fancy car or a 100k salary. All I want is a cozy place to kick up my feet, drink my coffee, be with my fiance and son, while enjoying a dose of On Simplicity!
(I would like to visit other countries though. I’m a curious lover of life)
