One of my favorite re-purposings was saving the little plastic containers my son's baby food came in. Now that he's older I use (and re-use) them as portable snack containers, to hold syrup and sauces for dipping, and my husband is even using them in his tool chest to hold screws, nuts and bolts. Great post!
